FunTime was born in a couple of tweets.
Laura (@p0nja), Juanchos mom, tweeted "I have an idea for an app to helps childs with GDD and autism handle time" (or something like that) and then another tweet by our team (@codigodelsur) "Ok, we like the idea, count on us" (or something like that), so in 5 minutes we had a project.
This first version of FunTime is the result of the first passionate 3 weeks of work, as dreamers we are, we hope it really helps thousand of kids all over the world to manage time in a better way, but just by helping one will be good enough for us to let us go to bed happy.

Pros and cons of Fun Time Timer app for iPhone and iPad

Fun Time Timer app good for

There are many useful timers but this one beats them all. It is just fun to work against the clock/snail. Fun which you never have with a digital timer or sand timer. Thank you!
This timer is so wonderful for my son with autism who loves everything "outside". I wish the tree would lose all of its leaves at the end of the cycle. The snail timer on the bottom is so perfect. He seems to spend more time tracking time through the leaves falling and the snail advancing. A great timer!
Thank you for this app. It works just as well as a real time timer but cuter. Perfect ! - a mother

Some bad moments

I like the pictures/animation in this app. The snail travels along the bottom of the screen and you can watch his progress. You can set the timer anywhere from 1-60 minutes. I would give it more stars if it had times under a minute, that would be even more beneficial.
Love it, love it, love it! I work with young ( K-5) special kids, most severely autistic. This is THE only timer I have found that is motivating. Thank You!
I love this! I want it to be on my iPhone too! Please update :)
I work with children with Autism and this timer is great for them. They like the scene and easily understand at least one of the two visuals. I only have two minor complaints. One, there is no option to have the app keep the screen on. I work with one child that gets upset every time my iPad goes into sleep mode and he/she can no longer see the timer. Two, the noises of the birds can be distracting and I wish I could turn those off without turning the the overall volume off.
This is one of my favorite apps, used frequently with students and my own two kids for making transitions easier, thanks!
This is a wonderful app, and the fact that its free, that it has both a circular and linear visual timer, and that the timer ends with applause (keeping things positive) are super. However, for little people who need to focus on a task, its maybe a little too entertaining, even with the bird sounds off. If there were a simpler version of this app with no leaves falling, flowers blooming, or birds moving around, it would be a perfect match for distractible little learners.
